L'hôpital des Quinze-Vingts

Près de la Bastille, il y a le célèbre hôpital des Quinze-Vingts. C'est un hôpital créé sous Saint-Louis vers 1260. C'est un hôpital spécialisé pour la vue. Il doit son nom au fait qu'il y avait à l'origine 300 places (15x20) pour les aveugles. Pour en savoir plus sur cet hôpital, cliquez ici. Moi j'ai trouvé très curieux de voir des locaux assez récents installés à l'intérieur de vieux immeubles. Sur les photos, ce n'est pas l'entrée principale, mais une entrée secondaire rue de Charenton.

Close to Bastille, there is the well-known hospital : "Les Quinze-Vingts" (Fifteen-Twenties). This hospital has been created under the king of France Saint-Louis around 1260. It's specialized about eyes. Its name from the fact there were at the origine 300 beds (15x20) for blind people.  I have found strange to see recent buildings inside old ones. On the photos, it's not the main entry, it's a secondary one on Charenton street.
