Le bataclan

Le Bataclan est une salle de spectacle très ancienne, elle date de 1864, et en même temps, c'est un lieu très "branché" où se produisent toujours des artistes modernes et originaux. Je vous laisse lire l'historique de cette salle sur leur site. Ce qui m'a semblé très étonnant, c'est que plusieurs personnages célèbres y sont venus. Parmi ceux-ci il y a un certain William Cody un peu avant 1900. Les connaisseurs sauront que c'est le vrai nom de Buffalo Bill ! Regardez bien ces décorations vraiment très originales ! C'est tout près de la Place de la République dans l'Est de Paris.

The Bataclan is a very old place for shows and it was created in 1864. In the same time, it's a place very 'in" where you can see modern and original artists. I let you read the whole history on their website*. I was surprised to learn that many well known artists came here and among them, there was one whose name was William Cody just before 1900. Some of you maybe know it was the real name of Buffalo Bill ! Look at the original decorations ! It's close to Place de la République, in the East of Paris.

Very nice article. A little American history for my friends in Paris: "Buffalo Bill" was not a reference to his name, William, but to the invoice he gave to the US Cavalry for the buffalo meat he
provided--the buffalo bill.

He was a great marksman and his rifle was also very famous, a great killer of buffalo and Indians too. The gun was named "Lucretia Borgia"!!
