On n'en parle pas souvent parce qu'il y a tant d'autres choses à voir à Paris, mais l'Hôtel de Ville a une réellement une superbe architecture de style remaissance. Au départ, c'est un archiecte
Italien, Dominique de Cortone, dont le surnom était "Le Boccador" qui se vit confier la construction du premier Hôtel de Ville pendant la Renaissance (XVIème siècle) Mais pendant la Commune,
le peuple de Paris se soulève et brûle cet édifice en 1871, détruisant de nombreuses oeuvres d'art et une bibliiothèques de 100 000 livres, plans, cartes et aussi des archives sur l'histoire de
Paris et des registres d'état civil.
Suite à un concours, on confia a Ballu et Desperthes de reconstruire un nouvel hôtel de ville de 1873 à 1882. En réalité, ils ont réalisé un bâtiment reproduisant au plus près celui construit par Le Boccador. Voilà pourquoi ce bâtiment comporte autant de décorations et sculptures étonnantes !
We don't speak often about the Paris Town Hall because there are so many other buildings and museum to see in Paris, but this building shows us a really beautiful architecture in the "Renaissance" style. During the "Commune" the People of Paris burned this Town Hall in 1871, destroying many works of art, maps and also archives on Paris history. After a concourse, Ballu and Depserthes, two architectes had to rebuilt a new Town Hall and in fact they built exactly the same building as the one built by Le Boccador ! Its the reason why you can see many beautiful ornements and sculptures on it !
